The
Planetary Alignment of May 2002
On the 5th of May, 2002 a major planetary alignment
will occur. Mercury, Venus, Mars and Saturn will congregate in the
constellation Taurus. Jupiter will be nearby in Gemini, just one constellation
away. This alignment will actually take placeduring the last two weeks
of April and the first two weeks of May.
We
thought that was worth doing a great public program,
the Sirius way !

Furthermore, a press
release explaining the planetary closeup and alleying any fear of
impending catastrophy from its occurence was sent to all the newspapers.

سوف يحدث خلال النصف الأول لشهر ماي حدث فلكي متميز يتمثل
في تقارب الكواكب الخمس المرئية بالعين المجردة، وهي: المشتري،
زحل، المريخ، الزهرة وعطارد.
إن جمعية الشعرى لعلم الفلك التي تعمل منذ سنوات على تعميم
مبادئ علم الفلك في أوساط الجمهور العام وإشراكه في متعة رصد
السماء الليلية، ستولي أهمية خاصة لهذا التقارب الكوكبي
البديع، وهو أشد تقارب الكواكب الخمس خلال القرن الواحد
والعشرين (ويكون الحد الأقصى في التقارب في ليلة 5/6 ماي).
وقد هيأت الجمعية برنامجا ثريا لتحسيس الجمهور بهذا الحدث
بقصر الثقافة مالك حداد يوم2 ماي 2002م يتمثل في معرض فلكي
متميز مع تقديم لوحات فلكية من إنتاج فنانين محترفين وشباب،
وعروض فلكية عن طريق الحاسوب، وكذا سلسلة من نشاطات فلكية،
بالقاعة الرئيسية، وذلك وفق البرنامج التالي: |
