Traditionally, our Astronomy Salon coincides with the World Space Week. This year again, we will hold it a bit later yet ithin the month. Few years ago it was the October 3rd, 2005 annular eclipse, the year before, it was election day, and those past years it is the fasting month of Ramadhan. Holding the events during that month with its different activities social wise is a no go, in addition to the fact that most of the members of the various associations would not be able to attend. We were thus left with the option of delaying it a bit. Then it has become a tradition to use the November 1st weekend to hold it since it is convenient to the various Algerian Associations for attending.
We do organize a special event during the space week itself.
