The 17th Edition of the National Festival in Popular Astronomy
Year after year since 2001, the National Festivals in Popular Astronomy are held for the benefit of the general public and the astronomy community. The subject for this edition is "Under One Sky" in tune with the IAU100 celebrations going on this year which are celebrating the excitement of the past century of astronomical discoveries and will highlight the important role of astronomy for education, as well as social and economical development. With implementation in over 100 countries, IAU100 is a great opportunity for astronomers, science communicators and educators around the world to reach out to the general public, policy-makers, teachers, students and inspire them about the wonders of the Universe. Other topics including space sciences will be dealt with. There will also be an Astronomy and Space Fair, lectures, workshops. All these activities have made this Festival throughout the years a much sought astronomical rendez- vous in the region... Note that this Festival is organized in collaboration with the APC and the APW of Constantine.
    
La 17eme Edition du Festival National d'Astronomie Populaire
Pour la 17ième fois depuis 2001, Sirius organise ce Festival d'Astronomie Populaire à Constantine. Le thème cette année est "Sous un même Ciel ". Il est en phase avec les célébrations IAU100 organisées cette année par par l’Union Astronomique Internationale, qui célèbrent les prodigieuses découvertes astronomiques du siècle dernier et souligneront le rôle important de l'astronomie dans l'éducation et le développement socio-économique. Avec sa mise en œuvre dans plus de 100 pays, les célébrations d'IAU100 sont une opportunité unique pour les éducateurs et le grand public pour laisser l'Univers les inspirer. D'autres sujets, dont les sciences de l'espace, seront abordés. Il y aura également une foire de l'astronomie et de l'espace, des conférences et ateliers. Au fil des ans, toutes ces activités ont fait de ce festival un évenement astronomique unique et le rendez-vous annuel majeur pour les amateurs Algériens et ceux de la région. Comme chaque année, il se distinguera par une conséquente participation nationale et internationale ... Notons que ce Festival est organisé en collaboation avec l'APC et l'APW de Constantine.
